TRANSYLVANIA

My daughter and I arrived in Sibui in the early hours of a May morning 2018. We were transferred to Apos and our accommodation in the dark of night.
We stepped outside into the bright sunshine next morning to a bucolic heaven. Donkey, horses, cats, dogs of all shapes and sizes wandered the green courtyard and a herd of goats with tinkling bells made their  way to the bottom of the village for milking. We sipped delicious coffee and took in the magnificent crumbling grandeur of the main house and its church beyond. Verdant flower strewn pastures and wooded hillsides beckoned and our families relationship with this corner of Transylvania had begun.
